Behavior Based Safety

Safety Pays is a time-tested motivational program based on the Japanese employee incentive model utilized after WWII in order to increase productivity and quality control as the country rebuilt itself.   By the 1980s, given Japan’s success, the American marketplace began following similar approaches to employee engagement.

In the 25-30 years since then, Safety Pays has woven into its motivational design a series of behavior based incentive tools in order to reward and reinforce an individual employee whenever a targeted safety initiative is expressed.
