Program
Material Costs
The cost of implementing Safety Pays is directly related to both the
number of employees who will be participating as well as how those
workers are configured. For companies which have more than 50-100
employees, we usually divide the workforce into separate program groups
based on the employees' location, shift and/or department. Sometimes,
smaller departments are combined into one program while at other times,
extremely large departments are split up and each section is grouped
alphabetically.
Keep in mind that the program's strategy is to target a specific group
of employees who have either a working interaction together or the
same job identification. When too many employees are placed on one
program, not only are the incentive rewards diluted but some of the
motivational impact is lost. An individual worker, instead of feeling
part of a select group, is lost among the masses and simply doesn't
feel the same level of empowerment to influence a person he/she hardly
knows. We're trying to create a sense of team success and responsibility
to one another.
Therefore, it is generally our recommendation never to exceed more
than 50 or so employees on a program. Although this is not a hard
and fast rule, we certainly want to maintain the motivational power
of the incentives we put in place. So make sure you take advantage
of the free incentive expertise provided with the purchase of a Safety Pays program to ensure that your workforce is being targeted with
a game design which will give your company maximum motivational impact.

The cost of the program is a one-time fee with no annual renewal fees
or further consulting charges. All program materials** needed to run
the program for a full year are included. Annual resupply costs are
projected at $75-$100 per year. In addition, this start-up price includes
any and all customer service requirements to assist with installation.
Once the program has been implemented, Safety Pays continues to provide
periodic incentive program reviews, as well as unlimited service support
via its toll-free customer help-line. Regular updates are also provided
via the Safety Pays quarterly customer newsletter advising of program
revisions and upgrades not to mention the sharing of creative ideas
which are being implemented by other Safety Pays customers.
** The only variable in terms of required materials is the bingo game
cards and bonus cards. Obviously, with the greater number of workers
placed on a single game, the more bingo cards are required. The charge
for additional cards though is minor.
